Ian is a product of Queens: born, bred, and based. The diverse and tasteful influence of New York brought Ian to wonder about what makes us different, and what makes us the same, and he explores this through warm songwriting and a self-produced sonic texture. The compositions he creates are a test of the limits of his own vulnerability, and a rope he throws to the listener so that they may connect and save each other.
Ian's first album in 2020, Of Me & For You, was a first step, a diary in audio. Several projects and singles followed, and shows in Chicago, New York, and through the DMV, at venues such as the Delancey in NY and Pearl Street Warehouse in DC. The music explores themes in each project, bringing us to today with SITUATIONSHIP(S), a collaborative EP with fellow artist Blasé, where the trials and tribulations of modern romance are explored in an arc, like the hero's journey.
These songs are vibrant, detailed, relevant, and romantic; the performance likewise. Ian has played solo, with a full band, and with piano accompaniment, to venues large and small, audiences new and old. If it's human, he can connect with it.
